Swamp foxtail grass in a black 14cm pot on gravel at an outdoor nursery with rows of potted plants behind
Australian Native
Evergreen

Pennisetum alopecuroides, commonly known as Fountain Grass, is a perennial ornamental grass that adds grace and elegance to gardens and landscapes. It forms clumps of arching, narrow leaves. In summer, it produces cylindrical flower spikes that emerge above the foliage, resembling foxtails. The flower spikes start off as cream or light green and gradually transition to a rich tan or burgundy color. Fountain grass thrives in full sun and well-drained soil and is known for its drought tolerance and low maintenance requirements. It is often used in borders, mass plantings, or as a focal point, providing movement and texture to the landscape. Plant with caution as readily self-seeds as does P. setaceum. Grows to approx. 60-90cm H x 60-120cm W.

A hidden GEM! 💎 only 14 mins from home.
The customer service was the first thing I noticed, that worth the 5 starts by itself! The level of care they showed me was unmatched, we had a great couple of chats.
The prices are unmissable and the plant quality is lovely. Very lively healthy blooms everywhere.
Leroy the Cavoodle was on duty and was super cute and came up to me for a little snuggle every now and then.
I will DEFINITELY be spending lots more time and $ here!!
Thank you very much.
